Pastor Steve’s sermon from Luke 5:27-32 is all about Jesus’ open-table invitation. He calls Levi, a tax collector (aka social outcast), to follow Him—no judgment, just grace. Levi throws a party, inviting other “messy” friends, and Jesus is all in. Meanwhile, the religious elite criticize Him for hanging with sinners. But Jesus flips the script: the kingdom of God is for those who know they need it. His table is open, transformational, and a model for us. Instead of exclusivity, our lives (and tables) should reflect Jesus’ radical grace—welcoming, loving, and pointing people to Him.
