Topic: Worship, Sacrifice

Book: John

Campus: FishHawk

Scripture: John 12:1-11

In Bethany, days before the cross, Jesus shared a meal with Lazarus, Martha, and Mary. While Martha served, Mary did something unexpected. She poured expensive perfume on Jesus’ feet and wiped them with her hair. The fragrance filled the room, and so did the tension. Some saw waste. Jesus saw worship. Mary recognized who he was and responded with costly devotion. She understood His worth before others fully did. This moment reminds us that real worship is personal and sacrificial. When we truly see Jesus, holding back feels impossible. What looks excessive to some is beautiful in the eyes of Christ.
