Palm Sunday hits where we all live: the gap between expectation and reality. The crowd wanted Jesus to overthrow Rome, fix their problems, and make life easier. They shouted “Hosanna” which literally means save us now. But instead of riding in like a warrior king, Jesus chose a donkey, signaling peace over power and freedom from sin, not politics. When He didn’t meet their expectations, cheers turned into “crucify Him.” Sound familiar? We often follow Jesus as long as life works out our way. This message invites us to realign, trust Him as true King, and believe He still comes for us, even in our disappointment.
