Following Jesus isn’t about grinding harder or fixing yourself to earn happiness. At the core, every one of us is chasing joy, whether through success, comfort, relationships, or self improvement. Jesus reframes that search. Real joy doesn’t come from striving for love, it comes from living from love. In John 15, Jesus says He wants His joy in us, overflowing. We’re already loved, fully and unconditionally. Joy grows when we stay connected to Him and align our lives with His way. Obedience isn’t about control, it’s about experiencing freedom, peace, and lasting joy.
