Jesus challenges his disciples in Mark 13 to stop obsessing over predicting the end times and start focusing on how they live right now. He reminds them that the temple and everything that seems permanent will one day pass away. What truly matters is staying spiritually awake. Jesus calls his followers to be alert so they are not led astray, ready to remain faithful in a distracted world, and bold witnesses who share the good news. Instead of waiting for someday to take faith seriously, Jesus invites us to live the kingdom of God today through the Holy Spirit, Scripture, community, and a life that points others to him every day.
