We all get fooled sometimes, but John reminds us there is one deception that costs everything: missing who Jesus really is. When we shrink Jesus down to just a “good teacher” or use Him as a way to chase success, comfort, or control, we lose the life He came to give. False teaching makes Jesus small and self big, but real faith centers everything on Him. Eternal life is not just someday in heaven, it is life with God right now. The key? Abide. Stay rooted in truth, let His Spirit live in you, and remember you are not missing out when you have Jesus.
