Jesus didn’t create the church to be a building, he created it to be a movement — a people called out to live with purpose. In Matthew 16, Peter declares Jesus is the Christ, and Jesus responds, “I will build my church, and the gates of hell will not prevail against it.” The church isn’t about pastors, music, or buildings, it’s built on Jesus, the cornerstone. We’re called to move toward people in dark, messy places, kicking down gates of fear, sin, and shame with love and truth. The big questions: Who do you say Jesus is, and who are you moving toward?
