The church isn’t just a building or a Sunday service, it’s a movement. In Matthew 16, Jesus makes it clear that the foundation of the church isn’t a person, it’s the truth that He is the Messiah, the Son of the living God. “Church” means a gathering of people called out for a purpose, to bring light into dark places. Jesus promises this movement is unstoppable, even against the gates of hell. In Acts 1, He passes the mission to ordinary people, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to share the good news locally and globally. Two thousand years later, we’re proof His promise is real. The question is, are you just meeting, or are you moving?
