Short Answer
With endless opinions, advice, and information available, it can be hard to know what is actually true. Jesus teaches us to stay grounded so we can recognize what leads us closer to Him and what pulls us away.
Why is it so easy to feel confused about whatโs true?
We live in a world where everyone has a platform. Every day, we hear different messages about success, identity, relationships, happiness, and purpose.
The difficult part is that not every harmful idea looks harmful at first. Sometimes things sound helpful, inspiring, or convincing, but they slowly move us away from what matters most.
Thatโs why many people feel overwhelmed. They donโt just need more information. They need a foundation for knowing what is actually trustworthy.
What does the Bible say about finding truth?
Jesus warned His followers in Mark 13:5, โWatch out that no one deceives you.โ His concern wasnโt just that people would believe obvious lies. He knew people could slowly drift away without realizing it.
Jesus didnโt leave people guessing. He pointed them toward Himself and the truth of Godโs Word.
In John 14:6, Jesus said, โI am the way and the truth and the life.โ Christianity is not simply about following good advice. It is about knowing and following Jesus, the source of truth.
How can I become less overwhelmed by all the opinions around me?
Start by creating space to know what is true before reacting to everything you hear.
Spend time reading what Jesus actually said. Pray and ask God for wisdom. Surround yourself with people who help you grow instead of just confirming what you already think.
You donโt have to have every answer immediately. A relationship with Jesus is a journey of learning to recognize His voice more clearly over time.
